Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross took home her first Golden Globe for best actress in a TV comedy or musical.

In an emotional speech, the elated actress dedicated the award to "all of the women, women of color and colorful people whose stories, ideas and thoughts are not always considered worthy."

"It is an honor to be on this show black-ish," she said. "To continue expanding the way we are seen and known and to show magic and beauty and sameness of a story and stories that are outside of where the industry usually looks ."

She received a standing ovation from her co-stars and fellow nominees including previous category winners Rachel Bloom and Gina Rodriguez.
Breakout star Issa Rae (Insecure), Veep's Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Sarah Jessica Parker (Divorce) were also nominated.
